How the Hall Won't Look Next Year

I just uploaded overdue pictures from my camera and realized I never added the pictures of the hall that I took when we booked it all those weeks ago to the blog. For historical purposes, here's what the hall won't look like on April 14 next year, because by then it will be done!

#1: The dance floor they'll have to refinish after our guests tear it up.

#2: A bigger view of the reception hall.

#3: Dad saying, "Only one daughter."

#4: What will be the bride's room. Invitation only!

#5: The "big" stall. Important for making sure the bride can use facilities despite a large dress.

In addition to the size issue, you have to start thinking technique. Will your maid of honor be up close and personal for the lift and squat method, or will you try the zip and step, where you actually completely remove the dress. This works well for ball gown types that can actually remain standing with or without you in it...Either way you want to make sure your maid of honor is cool with it in advance. It could be a deal breaker!

    Hey Laura,
We were there for dinner the other night and Gav showed us the room. It looks fantastic! There's carpet down and it had tables up to show another bride the setup so we got to see it all. Good choice!
